Second page of thumbnails leading to larger versions of Zoe Guglielmi's paintings, a drawing and an old watercolour. No chronological order here, either. Paintings come from 2001 or 2002 till 2008. I don't have favourites here, I just love the horse, actually a painting of the classic Greek sculpture usually called Jockey of Artemision - well, without the jockey. The empty eyes of the horse feel menacing. The watercolor Family , third row middle is Zoe's own family plus painter Amadeo Modigliani's face. Currently contemplating Plato, first on this page consist actualy of seven oils, five of them combined and displyed. I love the Red Bicephalon (lady with two heads with an old lady behind her) as well, but could not find a better photo. The morbid nameless painting, second in first row is characteristic for a dark and morbid neo-cubist phase, somewhere in 2005. Cubist elements were present on nearly all earlier works. |
